I'm going to introduce a little bit about myself on this page and update every month, so that I can connect with you better and hope that you feel my artworks closer.
I keep working on paintings and sculptures almost nonstop these days. Let me introduce some of those new artworks.
Framed Abstract Series
Past few years, I was asking myself what kind of art I want to create. My paintings have been somewhat figurative, but I always wanted to challenge abstract painting and studied and practiced some before. Now I'm introducing small abstract paintings on paper 8 x 10 inch with a white wooden white frame. Painted many abstract paintings and picked those 13 works. ( a work on the left is No.5 which is my favorite.)
Bird Sculpture Series
Vanilla, Sakura, Mr.Chic and Sage. I like paintings both paint and look. When I studied all the basic of art and prepared to take entrance exams for University of art and design, I found that I enjoy more making sculptures.
We studied 3D art for entrance exam using thick papers and strong glue ( that's how University ask you to make something). This bird sculpture's structure is similar with one that I made about 25 years ago. I remember that the teacher in the art class praised me for what I made, and gave me a little bit of confidence. Planning to make more sculptures soon.
Secret Tribe Series
HOGA, MARI and RAYADO
There are alway something that I learn from every project. I made many these objects on the left yet still I had to learn to make it look good. This time I was struggling making base. I've tried three different bases for these objects and the third ones are shown in this picture.
Abstract Series in 11 x 14 inches
When you go to museum or gallery, do you read memo under art works? I don't and my husband does.
Some people like my husband want to know stories behind the process of art works, and those are important to understand the work more. To me, I'd rather not to know because sometimes how I feel from works is more important than what artists put into their works. If you like my some of my works, that's fantastic. If you don't, I just need to work on my works harder.
