I'm going to introduce a little bit about myself on this page and update every month, so that I can connect with you better and hope that you feel my artworks closer.
This month, I write about a little bit of process of painting.
If you've purchased my art work before, you already know that I write a thank you letter and describe a little bit about art work that you'd ordered. I mentioned those work process about each painting on those letters and write about many layers under actual image of paintings. There are many artists do the same process though, so this is not my original skill or anything - painters tend to flip canvas to look for a better and more interesting image, and create multiple layers which you can't see from the final image but you'd feel the depth. Here is a image that I created for the first layer. I start painting without sketches so choose colors and patterns randomly and just make. I always have a great respect for abstract painters and wish I could make one, but unfortunately in the process, I always find something look like faces and weird creatures on images, then my works become figurative. But probably painting process would be similar to their process.
Here is the other image which I haven't finished yet shows the second layers are just added. Those layers are sometimes completely waisted by other colors' cover and sometimes stay until the final touch.
For those people who purchased my art works, I'd like to say "THANK YOU" again.
You happened to stop by my shop, and liked some of those, but not sure about this unknown painter, but gave a shot or shots - I can assume that was an adventurous experience. Many of you returned and bought additional paintings for your art collection.
You support me and make me move forward as a local artist.
So thank you.
I appreciate more than you think.
FAVORITE MUSIC
Who Is Jill Scott? / Jill Scott (2000)
I listened to this album when I was early 20's. I still do. My favorite is "The Way" This album and Miseducation of Lauryn Hill were the biggest albums that I respect when I was 20's.
FAVORITE FILM
Manchester By The Sea (2016)
Directed by Kenneth Lonergan
"Manchester by the sea" is a trip through all the emotions and life's cruel tricks. Grief, lost, loneliness, acceptance, and finding humor in difficult situations"
Very quiet movie. But this movie took a position of my top 3 favorite movies. Well written people's minds, ordinary people, usual lives and the town.
If you have amazon prime, I think it's still available. I've already watched so many times, and I think I might watch again tonight.
FAVORITE STUFF
Note; I just introduce my favorite stuff here, and pure my opinion.
I don't have any sponsors or anything and I get zero money for this.
Huts and Bay "CO Ivory Hoodie"
I have two dogs ( my babies ).
Long haired chihuahua VIGGO (13 years old ) and
Jack Russel Terrier COOPER (1 year old ).
Viggo is shy, kind, greedy and sweet old guy
and Copper is playful, self-centered, scared easily/brave kid.
Both tend to feel cold in severe NY weather, so looked for something warm and great design. Why many pet supplies don't have good design?
Anyway, I found this shop and was so excited!
Waited for restock ( it was sold out back then in this color combination ) finally got those.
I wish I could the find same hoodie for me.
Here is a link, if you're interested.
OK, That is it for this month.
Holiday season is here, and our sale is ending soon.
If you're looking for something unique, original, and affordable for yourself and as gifts, don't miss out this sale season at my shop because the lowest prices are offered, and going to back to original prices after the sale term.
I've planning to frame service too, so if you need a painting framed when you receive, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'll open up those options, and you choose.
